Unveiling an Unique Steam Game Trial: Guiding a Poop with the Goal to Reach the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is currently underway, and players have found numerous entertaining indie games. Yet, one catches the eye for its unconventional concept. Named Unko Technica, this retro-inspired jumping adventure features a protagonist that is actually a turd striving to make its way to a commode. As a fun fact, "Unko" translates to "poop."

How you interact is simple: press a one button to leap. In numerous challenges, encounter tough enemies and unlock a market to purchase customizations for your poop character.

Execute your jumps precisely, since one error means starting over. Leap using bubbles to launch your character to new heights, cross fragile ledges, and activate buttons to open new areas. Collect UN-KOINS for buying tougher stages as the action intensifies.

Graphically, the experience shows off vibrant level designs and a killer music score. Its minimalist graphics with shifting abstract forms evokes memories of players of classic titles like Earthbound.

Even though tough to name similar titles where you are a coiled turd, interactive entertainment have long incorporated scatological themes. For instance, in Death Stranding, players craft explosives from character excrement. Examples include Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved utilize dung as soil enrichment. And of course, such content appears a lot in the adventure The Stick of Truth.

Despite its silly premise, Unko Technica has already garnered impressive recognition, such as winning at a major publisher's indie contest in 2023. A playable preview is ready at present on Steam, with the full game planned to launch on computers in the fall.
