Four individuals from Italy have been removed from the country after being apprehended when vessels sailing in a flotilla delivering aid destined for Gaza were intercepted, according to Israeli foreign ministry.

Over 470 individuals were apprehended, as reported by Israeli police. The ministry stated that officials were in the process of deporting the others.

Interception Operation

The expulsions come as the final vessel of the GSF was boarded by Israeli authorities on Friday's early hours.

The GSF called Israel's operations as illegal, while Israeli officials described the convoy's activities as a "intentional confrontation".

The interception of the flotilla ignited rallies internationally, comprising a general strike in the European nation.

Maritime Zone Incident

The primary vessels were boarded on Wednesday about 70 nautical miles off the Gaza coast in open seas and additional vessels in proximity. The nation has been monitoring this area but lacks legal authority there.

Israeli officials claimed its maritime military had instructed the vessels to alter direction as they were "heading toward an active combat zone and violating a official sea restriction", while the convoy representatives asserted the operations were "illegal".

Official Statements

"Already four individuals from Italy have been expelled. The others are in the process of being deported. Israel is determined to end this process as promptly as possible."

The declaration added that all apprehended individuals were unharmed and in satisfactory physical state. The flotilla organization has alleged that many activists were assaulted with water spraying equipment while their vessels were intercepted.

Notable Participants

The foreign ministry's communication mentioned the participation of environmental campaigner the prominent activist on a convoy ship, but did not give specifics on her whereabouts.

"During an extended period, Israeli military vessels illegally intercepted the complete set of 42 of our ships—each transporting relief supplies, activists, and the commitment to break Israel's unlawful blockade on the Palestinian territory."

Last Boarding

The coalition said the last of its vessels, the named vessel, was unlawfully boarded at the morning hours on Friday, about nearly 80 kilometers from the coastal territory in open seas.

"Live streams and contact methods have been cut, and the whereabouts of participants and maritime staff is still uncertain," the organization said.

"This constitutes an illegal attack on civilian aid workers. We appeal to national authorities and international institutions to require their swift protection and liberation."

Final Moments

In a live broadcast from the last ship, a participant was visible showing a written sign to the recording device reading "A vessel is visible!" moments before the morning hour.

Approximately 30 minutes subsequently, a small boat full of military personnel wearing military attire approached the ship, with a much larger military vessel observable in the surroundings.

Tracking Information

The most recent data on the last ship, through the flotilla's tracking website, put it 43 nautical miles from the Palestinian shoreline at mid-morning - moments before it was taken over.

The greater number of the ships sailing as part of the humanitarian mission are unobservable on ship tracking sites reviewed by different services.

Several of the boats stopped on Thursday are presently moored at the military port, according to tracking website data.

Global Reactions

The aid mission departed for the Palestinian territory from the European nation at the conclusion of the previous month, with more ships participating from the North African country and other ports afterward, the organization stated.

Demonstrations in support of the flotilla and against the conflict in the territory increased globally as the vessels neared the territory, in nations comprising Spain, the Mediterranean country, Colombia and Argentina.
